Capture-IT
Capture IT is designed to allow you to gather an variety of informationfrom your network in a matter of minutes, offering you time saving information in a fraction of the time required by more traditional methods. The data collected can be set within the program, allowing you to select the information you need, set the frequency at which you need to collect it, and then display the information in a wide range of formats.
Capture IT consists of 2 products: Capture Lite, which allows you to audit individual PCs, and Capture IT, which allows you to audit networks of computers on single or multiple domains. Capture Lite will run on any Microsoft operating system from Windows 98SE onwards. Capture IT will run on any Microsoft operating system from Windows 2000 onward. Capture IT requires a LAN or WAN.
By using both Capture Lite and Capture NET in combination, standalone computers can be audited and then the resultant reports may be merged into other Capture data sets in order to generate a full inventory of your system whatever your network configuration.
Capture IT is unique in that it provides a secure method of information gathering whereby auditors do not need to have access to the computer nor do they not need to install an executable file or agent on each PC or target system. All data on the machine is accessed using authenticated and authorized methods. This means users have no need to be concerned about unauthorised access to their files and administrators do not need to worry about pushing out agents across the network.
